The Baguio Conventions & Visitors Bureau (BCVB), a private sector led, non-stock, membership-based organization, is tasked to promote tourism attractions, activities, and events of Metro Baguio. It is the marketing and promotions arm of the Baguio Tourism Council (BTC) and is under the umbrella group of the North Philippine Visitors Bureau (NPVB). The BCVB is working in tandem with the Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) which has given birth to the high profile marketing thrust called "Rediscover the North" through the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

The BCVB envisions Baguio a premier tourist and convention destination in the country within five years by encouraging and supporting efforts to improve tourist sites, services, facilities, as well as events and products. BCVB is managed by a Board of Trustees headed by Mr. Anthony de Leon, Manager of Baguio Country Club, as Chairman, with Fr. Jess Hechanova, CICM, President of Saint Louis University as Vice Chairman. Also, the board includes men and women representing Baguio’s tourism-related sectors such as hotels, restaurants, schools, travel and tours, retailers, transport, media, flower industry etc.




VISION

Baguio as an enhanced premiere tourist and convention destination in the country within five (5) years from the inception of the BCVB, enjoying a progressive growth in the volume of both domestic and foreign travelers due to:

* Improved services and tourist facilities

* New and unique products and events


MISSION

* To develop marketing and promotional strategies that will increase the convention facilities utilization, tourism arrivals and repeat visits to the City of Baguio.

* To encourage the Private Sector to be the prime movers in the Marketing and Promotion of the services, tourist facilities, products and events of the City in cooperation with the efforts of the LGUs and DOT.



GOALS & OBJECTIVES

* To establish effective marketing and promotional strategies that would boost tourism and convention arrivals in the City of Baguio

* To organize, initiate and coordinate programs, projects and events in order to professionalize management of marketing and promotional strategies



The North Philippines Visitors Bureau (NPVB) is the forum for companies and organizations with a stake in the travel and tourism sector in North Philippines.
The vision of the NPVB is to build a strong community of stakeholders in the tourism sector in north Philippines. We aim to create value for our members through tourism-related activities that are geared towards promoting the private-public  sector agenda.

This means the creation of tourism-focused marketing campaigns that leverage what our members have to offer. It also means the development of a private sector tourism agenda for the whole of North Philippines - addressing social, economic and environmental concerns with a long-term outlook. Majority of the NPVB's funds will come from the development and execution of campaigns, events, and other marketing activities for itself and its members. Members' dues and voluntary contributions will also form a critical part of the organization's financial foundation.

With its mandate as a catalyst for growth, the NPVB has the potential to become a powerful force for positive change banking on the entrepreneurial spirit.
